Get the Scoop:  Volunteer Appreciation Ice Cream Social

Please come to an Ice Cream Social in honor of your time, dedication and commitment to Forest Park School, Tuesday, June 1st from 2:45pm-3:45pmunder the covered play area.  Volunteers please bring your students to enjoy the time and the ice cream with you.

Back by Popular Demand - Cardinal Mini Cheer Camp

The Lincoln Cardinal Cheerleading program is putting on a mini cheer camp July 26th-July 29th from 9:00am-12:00pm each day.  The camp fee is $95 and includes t-shirts, treats and surprises.  K-8 are welcome, register early as space is limited.

This is a fundraiser with all proceeds benefiting Lincoln Cardinal Cheerleading Program.

  Forest Park Elementary Foundation - Call for Auction 2011 Leaders

Do you know someone who would be great to work with? We need your nominations for the auction committee for 2011.  The date and venue are set, now all we need is a great team of people to lead the charge.  Please send names of anyone you think would be fun and inspiring and can get things done.  There are plenty of roles to play including the "leader" or auction chairperson or chair-people.  This role can be for an individual, co-chairs or a team.  Many of the people who worked on auctions in the past are returning to help out, so the jobs will have a lot of support. 

Get a group of your friends together, do it yourself or nominate someone else.  Send your nominations to Amy McMahon amymcmahon1@comcast.net.  The auction will be Saturday, January 29th at the Multnomah Athletic Club.

New Website Goes Live

On Monday morning an all new Forest Park Website will "go live" migrating the current website to the new district content management system. Everything you are used to finding on the Forest Park website can still be found on the new website.  The new design will better integrate our school website with PPS' site, while providing our classroom teachers with new web design tools and flexibility.  Click on the Staff Pages link to find the teacher blogs you are accustomed to.  Over the coming months, these blogs will slowly make their own change to the new look and feel.

A fantastic run for Run for the Arts

With a thank you to our students and parents, the Run-for-the-Arts run was a HUGE success this year.  A supporting crowd of parents and volunteers came out to cheer on our students as they ran laps around our track raising funds for Forest Park's artists in residency, workshop, and assembly programs.  This year was our largest run ever thanks to the efforts, energy, and commitment of our students and families.
