Earlier this week I shared with the community that this will be my last year at Forest Park Elementary. This Thursday beginning at 6:30 you are invited to come and talk with Toni Hunter, Deputy Superintendent and Cynthia Gilliam, Director of Administrative Hiring and Performance Management about the process for finding Forest Park’s next principal. During this meeting, Toni and Cynthia would like to hear from you about the characteristics and qualities that you need in your next principal. Please come and be apart of this important process.

It is possible that this principal vacancy will go to an open hiring process. In that case a school based committee of teachers, staff, and parents will be formed. You can self-nominate yourself to be on this committee by completing this form. You will also need to complete the confidentiality agreement attached here.

I look forward to completing the current school year with all the children and families at Forest Park. I will also be visiting classrooms this Friday to share with them that I look forward to all the events this spring and will not be leaving Forest Park until June 30, 2010.
