This morning I had the wonderful opportunity of sharing a favorite picture book with all of Forest Park during our monthly "Monday Morning Meeting." This month I chose to read the book The Scarecrow's Dance, by Jane Yolen. Jane Yolen is one of my favorite authors. Among my favorite titles of her's are Owl Moon, Here There Be Dragons, and Letting Swift River Go.
Today's book was chosen as it represents the word of the month, RELIABLE. Tonight, around the dinner table or as you tuck your student in bed, ask them why they believe the Scarecrow in the story was reliable.
