Upcoming Events in Third Grade

Your child may have told you that we have been learning new dances in our Dance Residency through Run for the Arts. We have been practicing different dance techniques and are preparing for our upcoming performance.

Mr Wade's class is dancing the Son Jarocho de Veracruz, a folkloric dance and song that originated from the coastal state of Veracruz.

Ms. Daley's class is dancing La Danza de los Viejitos, a native dance from the state of Michoacan which is danced trhoughout Mexico.

Ms. Weekley's class is dancing the Macuele which is a dance that originated with African stick fighting and was brought to Brazil by slaves from Africa.

 Our performances, along with the second grades, will be next Thursday, May 13th from 6:30-7:30pm. We look forward to seeing you here!

  Walking field trips are quickly approaching. Below is the permission slip and information on our upcoming field trips. We will be sending a paper copy home soon.  We'll be driving so we appreciate hearing back from you as soon as possible if you'd like to join us so we can make travel arrangements. Thanks!
