Homework Week of Apr. 26-30,2010

Dear Families,

In the attachment is the homework for the coming week. Rather than a Portland paragraph, this time we are supplying a recipe for making crystals at home. There is also a page to record the hypothesis, observations and what students have learned from the experiment. The crystals and recording pages are due on 5/3. Hopefully this will allow enough time for your family to obtain the materials and begin the experiment.

We all thank you for supporting Run for the Arts. We had a beautiful afternoon for the run. Please remember to collect the money for pledges and return the forms and donations by April 26.

Attached is the homework for the week of April 12-16. This is Portland Paragraph Week. Also note that we will continue to give the multiplication review test for a couple more weeks. When possible, review the facts with your children.

Looking ahead, April 16 is Run for the Arts. 100% participation will allow us to invite programs like ones we have enjoyed this year; specifically Taiko Drumming and Cultural Dance.

April 20 is Family Write Night. Please come to see the writing your children have done recently, listen to a guest writer, and write together as a family. It looks to be a fun evening, and we hope to see many of you here!
